New Music: Lorde, Cold War Kids, Bleachers, +More
It's another week jam-packed with new music releases.
Every week we talk about the new alternative music releases. Whether it's albums, singles, or remastered albums, we cover it all. If you want to hear the latest alternative music, make sure to check out Sunday Studio Cuts every week on WRRV. At 10 p.m. each Sunday, Taylor plays the newest music that you normally wouldn't hear on air. Heads up, there will be no Sunday Studio Cuts on Sunday, May 30, due to our Double Play for Memorial DAy!
Let's waste no time and get right to the music released this week.
Lorde
Arguably the most anticipated release of the week is the new single from Lorde. It's called "Solar Power" and also came with an album announcement. Listen here.
Cold War Kids
Possibly my favorite release this week is from Cold War Kids. The new song is called "What You Say". Oh, and they're WRRV Sessions alum, what's not to love!? Check out the song below.
X Ambassadors
X Ambassadors have been busy releasing singles throughout the year. The newest is called "My Own Monster". I believe this is the third single they have released. Still, we have no word if we can expect an album this year. Listen to their new song here.
Kennyhoopla ft. Travis Barker
It's hard to find a song Travis Barker isn't on these days. For the third time, he's teamed up with Kennyhoopla, but this time on an album This one is called Survivors Guilt: The Mixtape. Listen below to one of the songs.
K.Flay
The new EP from K.Flay is finally here. It's called Inside Voices and features the single "Four Letter Words". Don't forget, you can listen to our exclusive interview with her on the Studio Cuts Podcast. Check out the single here.
AFI
History repeats itself, and that's clearly true with the emo/pop-punk resurgence in alternative music. AFI has released their new album Bodies today. Listen to one of the singles below.
Bleachers
As Bleachers gear up to drop a new album, we're getting pieces of it one week at a time. They released a new single today called "How Dare You Want More". Check it out here.
Clairo
After the massive success of their single "Sofia", Clairo is back with a new track. It's called "Blouse". Take a listen below.
