A Hudson Valley man is finding himself behind bars after setting his ex's car on fire.Shayne Griffin of Newburgh was sentenced to a two-to-six-year sentence and ordered to pay $16,000 in restitution after a December incident in which he set fire to a car belonging to the mother of his child, according to the Times-Herald Record.

On December 7, in an incident largely captured by security cameras, Mr. Griffin threw a bottle of gasoline into the automobile and proceeded to set a fire. He pleaded guilty to third-degree arson in the case.

Griffin's attorney claims that his client had no intention of causing harm to the public and that he was not a danger to his community.
