Pee Wee Herman is Back On The Big Screen
Want to take a ride on the bike? Get the word of the day? Want to catch up with Miss Yvonne? Looks like we will get our chance.
Another Pee-wee Herman adventure is rising to the big screen. Pee-wee Herman actor Paul Reubens told Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night's "Tonight Show" that a new movie is happening. The 62-year-old actor shared that production on the new movie would begin in February with Judd Apatow as producer and a still-unnamed director on board. Reubens, who has a recurring role on NBC's "The Blacklist," also paid a visit to the "Today" show Thursday where he performed his Pee-wee Herman dance for the show's hosts. Reubens created the quirky man-child character as a member of the Goundlings comedy troupe in the late 1970s. Pee-wee later found himself on television and in movies like "Pee-wee's Big Adventure" and "Big Top Pee-wee." Reubens retired the character for much of the 1990s after he was arrested for indecent exposure in an adult theater in Florida. In 2010, the character began a comeback on stage and with special guest appearances.
