The River Rose is a popular Hudson River cruise boat based out of Newburgh. They've just recently announced they'll be taking the 2020 season off but are excited about the future. Serving as a casino boat in New Orleans before coming to Newburgh, The River Rose is an authentic Mississippi River paddle wheeler. She can accommodate 150 passengers plus crew.

For two decades Captain Duke and his crew have set sail on the waters of the Hudson River hosting countless river cruises plus special events, weddings, fundraisers, proms, corporate meets, and anything else you could think of.

The radio station was fortunate enough to cross paths with the River Rose when Boris launched the WRRV Cruise-A-Palooza more than 15 years ago, an annual floating party with bands and prizes and unpredictable people.

We'll always remember this guy, not sure if he remembers us.

And we're still not sure who this gentleman is.

WRRV's Cruise-A-Palooza will undoubtedly return to the River Rose when she hits the waters of the Hudson River in 2021 but for now, we're in a holding pattern while we determine what's appropriate and safe for everyone.

We'd like to thank Captain Duke and his crew for your 15+ years of good times (so far) out on the Hudson River. And to the bands who have performed, The Hype, Breaking Crazy, Talking Machine and Nuts in a Blender, thank you for keeping the party rocking! Also to In and Out Deli in Wappingers Falls, thank you for the great food and keeping everyone fed on the boat.

Here's a look back at some of the fun when Deuce commandeered the vessel.

It rained like crazy in 2016!

A look back at some good times aboard The River Rose.
