Shock Top Releases First Version of Big Game Commercial
Shock Top from Anheuser Busch (AB), has released their first Super Bowl 50 commercial, with not one but multiple versions.
According to superbowlcommercials2016.org, Shock Top is a craft, wheat beer and a direct competitor of Blue Moon, owned by Miller Coors. AB has gone ahead and released the regular version along with the extended edit of their commercial.
The 90-second commercial features T.J. Miller, the brand's new spokesman (known for being a stand up comedian and his work on Silicon Valley, the TV show). The comedian sips on a glass of Shock Top while trading insults with the beer's mascot Wedgehead.
Anheuser-Busch is once again the exclusive beer advertiser for the Super Bowl, and thus have has purchased 3 1/2 minutes of advertising time for the Feb. 7 event, 30 seconds of which go to Shock Top. Below is the 90-second version in its entirety.
