A few weeks ago Amazon announced they would mark July 15 as "Prime Day," a one-day online sale in the style of "Black Friday" for their Prime Members. If you have the annual $99 membership is means you will have access to some monumental deals, like a 32 inch TV for $75 or a Chrome Book laptop for $199.

After the announcement retail mega star Wal-Mart announced they too would have a huge online sale and slighted Amazon for making consumers pay a premium to get savings.

"We've heard some retailers are charging $100 to get access to a sale. But the idea of asking customers to pay extra in order to save money just doesn't add up for us," Fernando Madeira, president and CEO of Walmart.com, said in a statement on a company blog.

Wal-Mart officials said their deals will also last more than just a day, 90-days in fact. If you want to get the best of both savings world you can sign up for a fee 30-day Prime Membership and still get access to the deals without paying the $99. And of course as Wal-Mart indicated...no membership required.
