My New Pet Peeve: Curbside Pickup Parking Misuse
I am totally aware that this is going to come off like i'm whining (sure), spoiled (maybe a little), or complaining about a first world problem (definitely), but I need to talk this one out, and i'm certain that other people are likely to feel the same...

Why are so many people parking in the order pickup/curbside parking spots and then going into the store?
Shopping Made Easy
Though there aren't many of these in general, one of the benefits to come from the 'COVID days,' in my opinion anyway, is how many places continue to offer curbside pickups. Let me explain.
Sometimes you truly don't have time to run to the store, right? Maybe you just need like two or three things from Target, but you know that walking into the store will turn into an hour of browsing and picking up things you don't need. It happens. Doing a pickup order is an easy alternative.
Or maybe you did your grocery shopping for the week and forgot a few staple items, or, you're feeling a little under the weather and don't feel like going to the grocery store? Grocery pickup to the rescue.

Reserved 'Pickup' Spots At Stores
I'll admit that i've been relying on grocery pickup a lot lately, or placing a department store order for pickup; it's convenient, simple to do from my phone, and honestly it saves me money from impulse buying in the store.
However, the past three times that I went to pick up my order, at two different locations, why are so many people parking in the reserved spots, but then going into the store? Last week at Target I was there less than five minutes total and watched it happen twice. Just yesterday at ShopRite I parked in between four vacant cars to grab my order in the 'pickup' section. When the nice employee came out with my groceries, she too mentioned how many cars were in the reserved spots.
Have you encountered this anywhere else in the Hudson Valley, or are you guilty of using the order pickup spots as easy access to the store....
