Over the weekend two police officers were tragically shot and killed in Hattiesburgh, Mississippi. A worker for Subway sandwich shops in the area has been fired for social media posts celebrating the incident. 

The New York Post reports Sierra McCurdy of Laurel, Miss. has lost her job for the inflammatory statements.

“2 police officers was shot in hattiesburg tonight…GOT EM. We can turn this bxtch into Baltimore real quick….Police take away innocent people lives everyday now & get away w/ it, fxck them…no mercy.”

Subway issued a statement regarding the employee's status.

“This behavior is unacceptable & does not represent our brand’s values & ethics. The franchise has terminated the employee.”
