Target Recalls Mug Due to Fire Hazard

Target stores along with the Consumer Product Safety Commission have announced a safety recall for mugs that were sold in Target stores and at Target.com. The mugs were produced by Illume Candles and sold during December of 2015 and January of 2016 for approximately $8 per mug.

The reason that they are being recalled is because they were incorrectly labeled as microwave safe. So far, there have been three reports of the mugs sparking in the microwave, but no reports of injuries.

If you own one of these mugs, you are asked to stop using it immediately and take it back to Target for a full refund. For more information about this recall you can call Target Customer Service at 800-440-0680, Monday through Friday or the 'Product Recall' section of the Target website.
