Before Her “Eras Tour” Film, Taylor Swift Made a Movie in the Hudson Valley
In case you haven't heard of Taylor Swift, she is a billionaire superstar that has been dominating the music charts since 2004. Not only was Swift's landmark Eras Tour the No. 1 tour both worldwide and in North America, but she also brought in a whopping $1.04 billion with 4.35 million tickets sold across 60 tour dates, the concert trade publication found. Her Eras Tour movie has grossed more than $250 million globally, including $178.2 million domestically and $71.8 million internationally after seven weeks of release.
Before the Eras Tour movie, Taylor Swift released another popular film with heavy ties to the Hudson Valley.
Hudson Valley Film Remembers Taylor Swift's folklore Film
In case you didn't know, Taylor Swift's folklore has some major ties to the Hudson Valley. folklore was famously made during the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced Swift to send recordings back and forth between producers and collaborators. The meeting and recording of this folklore film, which took place in September of 2020, is the first time all of the writers have come together since its creation according to RollingStone.

Hudson Valley Filmmaker, Ethan Palmer
Not only was folklore shot in the Hudson Valley studio, Long Pond Studio, but the film's cinematographer was Hudson Valley filmmaker Ethan Palmer. Besides his work on folklore, Palmer has created a sizable body of work. Some of his projects include:
