A new report has been released detailing the deadliest highway in each state.

CBS News recently published a list that names the deadliest highway in each state. To create the list, they looked to Geotab, which is a fleet management business. Their interactive map named the most fatal highway in every U.S. State. The map was compiled using data from 2008 through 2017 from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. From there, the data was adjusted for the average daily traffic counts that were provided by the Federal Highway Administration.

For New York State, the deadliest highway is Interstate 87, commonly known as the New York State Thruway in the Hudson Valley region. I was surprised that the Taconic State Parkway (TSP) wasn't named the deadliest highway in New York. It's consistently ranked as one of the most dangerous to drive, so you would think it would go hand in hand.
