Today is the day you get to vote and help form the direction that New York State will be heading in. You also will get to answer your phone soon from robo-calls. Here are the details about today's elections. What it could mean for NY. 

It's Election Day and New Yorkers are voting in several statewide races.  Democratic incumbents, including Governor Andrew Cuomo, Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli are favored to win.  Democrats hope to keep control of the state Assembly and to pick up a majority in the state Senate.  Voters will also decide several key congressional races, including a re-match between Hudson Valley Congressman Sean Maloney and Republican Nan Hayworth.  Polls are open until 9 p.m.
