Would You Move For $10,000? Which State Wants You
With so many people looking to move out of New York State, Vermont is looking for you to choose to move there as apposed to any other state in the nation. In fact, Vermont want you to move their so badly, they are willing to pay you $10,000 to do just that.
You will need to apply for the funds, you can't just show up and say, "I'm here" to get the money. The program is overseen by the Vermont Department of Economic Development and the funds will be paid over the course of two years.
Vermont is looking for people who work remotely for their current job to move to the Green Mountain State. Here is more insight into the program from Vermont.org:
To qualify for the grant, an applicant must be a full-time employee of a company with its domicile or primary place of business outside of Vermont. Applicants must move to Vermont on or after January 1, 2019 and perform a majority of their employment duties remotely from a home office or coworking space in the state. Expenses eligible for reimbursement include relocation costs, computer software and hardware, broadband access or upgrade, and membership in coworking or similar spaces.
