Adult Spelling Bee Comes to Kingston, You Got What it Takes?
Did you watch the Scripps Spelling Bee last month and think to yourself that you could've spelled your way around those kids? How about competing as an adult to see if you can spell your way to the top?
There is a pub/bookshop in Kingston that is helping you to stop being a spectator and is welcoming you as a competitor, as an adult. Rough Draft Bar & Books, at 82 John Street in Kingston will be hosting their first adult spelling be on Thursday June 20, 2019 at 7pm.
There is no charge to join in the fun, but there are limited slots and you also need to be 21 or older to play. According to the event listing on their website:
"There will be drinks and cash prizes, free books, and plenty of opportunities for humiliation."
Now combine this with a little trash talking and it sounds like a good time will be had by all, even the ones who use spell check on a consistent basis. Good Luck!
