'Kayak Killer' Eligible to Get Fiance's Insurance Money

Angelika Graswald might be able to get the money from her fiance's accidental death insurance policy after all. The so-called kayak killer, who pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide after pulling the plug on her fiance Vincent Viafore's kayak when they went on the Hudson in 2015, could get the money after all.

Graswald, who was listed as a beneficiary on the policy, apparently entitling her to 45 percent of the policy's value. According to the New York Post, she is eligible to receive the money, unless Viafore's family can prove that she recklessly caused his death.

Viafore's mother, Mary Ann Viafore, told the New York Post that the family has been living a "nightmare" since her son's death three years ago.
