How bad is that browser history of yours? Do you need to duct tape that selfie camera? This could be techno-terrorism at its absolute worst.
Many are falling victim to a terrifying new scam. You may have gotten a threatening email recently from a random person claiming to have hacked your camera phone and obtained video footage of you watching some adult films.
According to Business Insider, people have reported that in some cases, the black mailer's are demanding thousands of dollars worth of bitcoin or else they'll release your browser history and personal phone camera footage to your contact list.
The message may seem believable because it will contain your email and a real password you use. However, BI also suggests that this may be information that as hacked from another website and in no way relates to your phone camera.
