Chevy Chase Involved in Road Rage Incident in Hudson Valley

It wasn’t a laughing matter when Chevy Chase was involved in a road rage incident in the Hudson Valley.

Chase is accused of following a truck and flashing his lights after he was allegedly cut off by the truck on I-87, near the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, what used to be called the Tappan Zee Bridge.

Both drivers pulled over near exit 10 on the Thruway in South Nyack. During the confrontation, the other driver, 22-year-old Michael Landrio of East Patchogue, cursed at Chase and kicked him in the shoulder, police say, according to ABC.

Landrio was charged with harassment. He says that his kick was in self-defense because Chase threw a punch first.

Chase, however, is denying that claim.

A rep for the 74-year-old actor told TMZ that Chase slipped on ice while walking his puppy two days before road rage confrontation.

An MRI found a small break in Chase’s right shoulder, the same shoulder he was allegedly hit in. The injury caused Chase to have trouble lifting his arm, making it near impossible for him to throw a punch, his reps told TMZ.
