OMG: I Am Now Experiencing Concert Announcement Overload
Is this possible, has it finally happened, am I going to officially crack?
February must be some sort of special month in the music world, because there have legitimately been more than a dozen tour announcements over the past few days that have my head spinning, and me wondering how i'm ever going to financially recover from this summer's concert calendar.

Remember When I Had PCD, Post Concert Depression?
2025 was a massive year for shows, especially in the alt-rock world, and even more specifically, at Bethel Woods Center For The Arts. The announcements were hitting us, one after another for Bethel: Dave Matthews Band, Barenaked Ladies/Sugar Ray/Edwin McCain, The Offspring With Jimmy Eat World and New Found Glory, Collective Soul and +LIVE+ (back to back), The Black Keys, blink 182, to name a few. Plus all of the other shows, and by other I mean the ones that weren't at Bethel Woods and I couldn't classify as work....
When the whirlwind summer came to an end I was definitely feeling some sort of way, looking through my photos and videos constantly, and reminiscing about all the incredible shows we took in.
Thank goodness for WRRV Sessions, those shows took us right into the holiday season so we weren't without live music as the winter season approached.
According to a quick google search, apparently PCD is a real thing
Post-concert depression (PCD) is a non-clinical, temporary feeling of sadness, emptiness, or longing that occurs after a highly anticipated live music event ends, often beginning the next morning. It stems from the abrupt drop in adrenaline/dopamine, the end of long-awaited anticipation, and a return to mundane routines.

The 2026 Concert Calendar Is Shaping Up Nicely
A few different tours have been announced since we officially rang in 2026, but all of a sudden the third week in February hit and I went from PCD to OMG, i'm having concert overload. I looked a little like this following all of the different tour announcements and show dates that came out today/this week...
Now I was already mentally preparing myself for the MASSIVE announcement I was able to do this morning, as WRRV Welcomes Shinedown, Coheed and Cambria, From Ashes To New and DJ Rock Feed to MVP Arena in Albany on July 18th... (by the way, win them before you can buy them tickets all this week with me in the 6pm hour).
If that wasn't enough, shortly after the Dance, Kid, Dance Act II announcement, Breaking Benjamin announced a 30 date run, Backstreet Boys (important in my world) extended their Sphere residency, and just as the group chat began mapping out our next trip, The All American Rejects made it official that they'd be playing at Resorts World in Vegas the DAY AFTER we're planning to see BSB at Sphere. Hello again, Vegas Val!
February 17th also brought RUFUS DU SOL's announcement of their biggest North American Tour to date, as well as Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band's American Tour, as well as Santana and The Doobie Brothers and their Oneness tour.
Is anyone else as overwhelmed (in the best way possible) with all these announcements as I am? Let's pour one out for our poor bank accounts/credit cards.
