Footage Shows Protest Turning Violent in Downtown Albany
Drone footage and security cameras captured video of chaos erupting in the streets of Albany during a protest.
Here in the Hudson Valley there have been several demonstrations seeking justice for George Floyd who had died shortly after being in the custody of a few officers of the Minneapolis Police Department. They have been reported to be peaceful assemblies here in the Hudson Valley. That cannot be said for our capital an hour north of us.
Protests appear to have turned into riots in the early hours of May 31.
Drone footage captured by Chris Famelette show a semi truck on fire near Pearl Street and Madison. There also looks to be separate fire on the same street. It's difficult to identify what object was set ablaze.
Security footage outside of an apartment in Albany shows a crowd throwing objects down the street and at the nearby building.
