Mike Doughty first gained fame as the frontman for the band Soul Coughing in the 90s and has since had a prolific solo career. On Monday he'll be playing a show in the Hudson Valley at Darkside Records in Poughkeepsie at 7 p.m.

Doughty split with Soul Coughing in 2000, as a result of creative differences. Since then he's released 18 albums, EPs and live albums. He's on the road this fall supporting his most recent release, The Heart Watches While the Brain Burns.

The show is free and open to the public and showtime is 7pm (but you might want to get there early and check out all the sweet vinyl). Darkside Records has a full slate of events going on this winter. For a look at upcoming events, including the Stranger Things listening party, click HERE.

Soul Coughing's best known song 'Circles' appears on the 1998 album El Oso. Check out his latest video for 'I Can't Believe I Found You In That Town.
