More than two million fish are about to be released in New York lakes, ponds and streams as fishing season is about to begin in the Hudson Valley and beyond. The season runs from Monday, April 1st through October 15th according to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.

For more information on recommended trout and salmon fishing locations, you can view the 2019 Coldwater Fishing Forcast at the DEC website. The following bodies of water will be stocked in time for opening day, click here for the full list.
