Hudson Valley ShopRite Store Closing, Moving to New Location
A local ShopRite has announced that they will close their current location and move to a new space.
This week we told you that Price Chopper was closing their store on Fairview Avenue in Hudson. That location will shut their doors for good next month. Well now it seems as though the building won't sit vacant for very long, as many had feared.
ShopRite announced on their Facebook page that they will now be moving into the soon-to-be-vacant Price Chopper location. According to a post on Tuesday afternoon, the ShopRite located in the Fairiew Plaza, just a mile and a half south of Price Chooper, plans to take over the larger supermarket's building.
The space will be completely renovated and the current Price Chopper pharmacy will be maintained.
We will renovate the Fairview Avenue space to make way for a new, full-service ShopRite that will also include the existing pharmacy at that location.
Now the question remains; what will happen to the ShopRite store in Hudson? Stay tuned.
