People Are Obsessed With Me Trying This One Food
You would think that I admitted to committing a major crime, or telling someone that i've never drank water in my lifetime when people find out this strange fact about me.
It doesn't come up in conversation regularly, but from time to time, when someone finds out about this particular 'confession' they immediately look at me like i'm crazy, then the 283 questions begin.

True Story: I've Never Had A Hamburger
...or steak, or anything made from cow - turkey burger, count me in. Now, is there a chance that I had something that contained beef as a kid, sure, but my parents have told me that I never wanted it.
No, not a vegan, or a vegetarian, and this has nothing to do with PETA. This #teamnobeeflife isn't for any particular reason other than I've never had it so why start now? I eat chicken on a daily basis, a turkey sandwich from the deli is my absolute favorite meal, and I definitely love bacon, it's just that I don't have the desire to eat beef - does that make me strange?
I also have severe shellfish allergies in my family, so I don't (and have never tried) any fish whatsoever, but I feel like saying I don't eat seafood is less of a shock for people than the cow thing.

Can I Cook You A Steak?
Whenever someone finds out that I don't eat burgers, steak, or tacos with ground beef, I get these wild looks and all sorts of questions. It's always followed up with 'well will you try steak if I make it for you?' I can't even keep track of how many people want to be 'the one' to get me to eat it.
Am I really missing out on a big part of life by having never experienced a steak, or, gasp, a McDonald's hamburger (I always win that never have I ever game by saying I've never had a Happy Meal burger, but count me in for nuggets anytime). If I were to agree to give beef a try, what's the move? A nice steak or a juicy burger?
