With game one of the NBA Finals in the books, New York City, Knicks fans and New Yorkers at large have been rolling out the red orange and blue carpet. Given that it has been 27 years since the Knicks made an NBA Finals appearance, this type of fanfare is well-deserved.

This NYC Subway Station is Bleeding Knicks Orange and Blue

As New Yorkers, we know that when it comes to our sports teams (both the winners and, well those that don't win all that often, let's not call them losers though), it is go BIG or go home. If you've been in/around New York City lately, maybe you've notices that they're painting [some of the] the town orange and blue in support of the New York Knickerbockers?

According to the MTA, there are just shy of 500 Subway stations around New York City, but for now we're going to focus on the one closest to the 'World's Most Famous Arena,' home to the New York Knicks, Madison Square Garden, that's the ones that recently got a bit of a makeover.

The MTA gave a little NYK-themed makeover to the 34th Street Penn Station entrance (on 8th Avenue and 34th Street), as the closest station to MSG, ahead of Game 1 on Wednesday June 3rd. If you happen to be one of the lucky ones going to any of the games and use this stop/pass by, snap a photo and send it to us here!

NYC Mayor Grants Bedtime Immunity to Young Knicks Fans

Another added bonus for the celebration that is the Knicks appearing in the Finals for the first time in over two decades, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani this week signed an executive order for the littlest Knicks fans in town...

Today, I signed an Executive Order temporarily repealing bedtimes in the City of New York so that kids of all ages can watch our team in the NBA Finals.

As Mayor, you’re forced to make many difficult decisions. This was not one of them.

Go Knicks.

The Knicks took game 1 in San Antonio, and Game 2 will also be on the road Friday the 5th. The Knicks will head home for games 3 and 4, Monday the 8th and Wednesday the 10th. Games 5, 6, and 7, if necessary, will run as follows: 6/13 (5 - away), 6/16 (6- home) and 6/19 (7 - away). All games have an 8:30pm start time.
