A local brewery has been nominated in USA Today's 'Best Beer Label' contest. Newburgh Brewing Company is up against 10 other breweries from across the country. Their famous Cream Ale can was selected, featuring brewery mascot Betsy the cow. The selections were made by a panel of experts and they were looking for certain criteria.

A great beer label pushes boundaries, epitomizes the beer within, captures the eye or makes us smile.

This isn't the first time Newburgh Brewing Company has been up for best label. Last year CNBC held a similar contest and Newburgh emerged victorious against Founders Brewing Dark Penance.

Newburgh Brewing Company is the sight of WRRV Sessions. Each month Simon broadcasts live with one of your favorite WRRV bands as entertainment for the evening. Coming up on February 25th don't miss a special acoustic set from Blue October. If you were in the WRRV meet and greet with New Politics last week, you can download your pictures HERE.
