You might not have heard of the company called "College Consensus" but they are working to keep on top of the best schools in the United States. College Consensus is a college ranking website that compiles information from ranking sites and student feedback to rank college's and their programs.

In fact, one college here in the Hudson Valley made their Top 30 list for Pre-College Summer Programs. The local school that made their Top 30 list? Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY.

The criteria that all of the colleges were held to was based on the benefits that they provide for high school students to include but not limited to the following:

  • College Credit
  • Mentorship
  • Residential Experience
  • Scholarship Opportunities

The full list of the Top 30 schools can be seen here. There is another benefit to students attending these summer pre-college courses. The students get to find out if the school itself is where they want to be and if the campus life is what they were expecting.

Did you participate in any sort of pre-college summer classes? Would you recommend them or do you think that they are a waste of time?
