Remember Bert's on Robinson Street in Fishkill?

Over the past few years, 19A Robinson Street in Fishkill has been home to Bert's; at first Bert's Bread House, which opened back in 2019 and was serving up tasty breads and pastries.

Fast forward to 2023, the Bake House closed for a bit, reopening and officially rebranding into Bert's Hideaway, offering sweet and savory dishes, beer, wine and specialty coffees. The Hideaway served the area until this past February when the owners retired and Bert's closed their doors for good.

Now, though, the word is out that the location will soon be home to a family owned business that is bringing their locally focused NY style pizza to Fishkill!

Mommò Pizza Shop Prepares To Open Fishkill Storefront

For those that have tasted a slice of Mommò Pizza over the past four or so years, you may already know they focus on clean label products and source many of their ingredients from right here in the Hudson Valley. Soon, Mommò Pizza Shop will be serving their slow fermentation NY style pizza from this Robinson Street Fishkill location. They'll hang onto the food truck for private and special events, but the focus will be on the shop.

The Mommò owners certainly take pride in the types of products going into their recipes, working with local and International partners.

Our new pizza shop will focus on slow fermentation NY style pizza pies & slices, and other styles of pizza. We focus on clean label products, our flour non bromated. We source local Hudson Valley, high quality domestic and imported products from Italy, we use sourdough starter for our fermentation, have built strong connections with Hudson Valley farms, breweries, distilleries, wineries which we will provide local vegetables for our salads & beverages- cider, wine, beer.

As for those owners, they will be bringing plenty of experience to the shop. Owner Luca hails from Italy and is from a three generation family of restaurant and pizza owners. Luca will be working alongside owner Carly, a trained chef who has worked in the NYC food industry for 20 years.

Mommò, in Neapolitan, means ‘right now.’ Our goal is to bring the Italian approach to food. Made with care, attention, and the necessary time. To live the Italian way means enjoying something authentic and delicious in the moment, even when it’s served quickly
