New Music: Dayglow, The Offspring, AFI, +More
It's another week jam-packed with new music releases.
Every week we talk about the new alternative music releases. Whether it's albums, singles, or remastered albums, we cover it all. If you want to hear the latest alternative music, make sure to check out Sunday Studio Cuts every week on WRRV. At 10 p.m. each Sunday, Taylor plays the newest music that you normally wouldn't hear on air.
Let's waste no time and get right to the music released this week.
On Monday, February 22, Dayglow released a new song called "Something". On the same day, he announced a new album called Harmony House. The album is set to drop on May 21, 2021. Listen to the new song here.
The Offspring are back with a brand new song called "Let The Bad Times Roll". Just like Dayglow, when they released this song they announced a new album, which will have the same name as the single. This will be their 10th studio album and is out on April 16, 2021. Listen to the title track below.
After releasing their debut album, Shadowboxer, in 2019, Mansionair is back with a new song. It's called "More" and singer Jack Froggatt said, "Halfway through 2019, having just finished our touring cycle for Shadowboxer, we came to Sydney and settled back into some sort of normal routine. We began sketches for the next batch of music, sending ideas back and forth, searching for a common thread. Eventually we decided to get outta the city and head down to the south coast of Sydney for a writing trip. It was there we wrote the first iteration of MORE." Listen to the song here.
AFI released not one, but two songs today. The songs are called "Looking Tragic" and "Begging for Trouble". This isn't the first song they've released this year. In January, AFI dropped a track called "Escape From Los Angeles". Their new album, Bodies, is set to be released on June 11, 2021. Listen to their new song "Looking Tragic" below.
After slow dripping multiple songs off the album, Architects have finally released their new album today. It's called For Those That Wish to Exist. Listen to the song "Impermanence" off the album here.
