There's a new outdoor exercise area and playground set to break ground in the Town of Wappinger this summer, right of Spook Hill Road.  Spook Hill connects Myers Corners Road and Old Hopewell Road, and is quite close to Rt. 9.

In chatting with Randy Ross, chair of the Spook Hill Park Committee, he shared that the whole park will be wheelchair-accessible, with exercise areas for all abilities, a new compliant playground, and an ADA compliant bathroom to replace the existing bathroom building.

There will be a quarter-mile nature trail around the outer space and a new and improved parking configuration as part of the plans.

The project, hoping to break ground this summer, will be built in 3 phases after having received a $100,000 grant from the county for construction.  The hope is to have a few of the exercise stations and walking/jogging path will be open for use this summer. There are no fees associated with the use of the park.
