With the limited amount of snow that New York has seen this winter, one family might appear to be going to extremes to keep their winter 'joy' a bit longer.  Mike Fregoe and his family are from Massapequa Park, NY and last year they were able to keep their family snowman until April 20, 2015, with the help of friends and fellow snowman enthusiasts.

This year, the family is trying to pass last years record. Granted it has been tough with the lighter amount of snow fall, this year compared to last. As it stands now, the Fregoe family snowman was first measured to be 15-feet tall, but has unfortunately melted a bit and is now 13-feet tall.

The family's goal is to keep the snowman around as long as possible and they are asking for 'snownations' from people to make this possible. Will it make it until April? What will the family do if it does not? Follow the progress of the Fregoe Snoman through their "Save Our Snowman" Facebook page.
