
NY State Coyote Hunting Contest Offers $10k in Prizes
There's a three-day hunting competition coming to Sullivan County and it's awarding some serious cash prizes.
The Federation of Sportsman's Clubs in Sullivan County is allowing New York state and six counties in Pennsylvania to participate in a large coyote hunt on February 7,8 and 9 for the 13th year in a row. With proper licensing coyotes can be hunted from October 1 until March 29.
If you're an avid coyote hunter this may be the perfect event for you. The first place prize ok $2,000 will go to the hunter who brings in the heaviest coyote. The second heaviest wolf will win a prize of $500.
According to the events flyer, the prizes are as follows:
- Grand Prize - $2,000
- 2nd Place - $500
- 3rd Place - $250
- Daily Prize - $100
There's other prizes and even money offered to youth hunter.
