Looking for an inexpensive family activity for this Saturday April 2, 2016? How about heading over to Bowdin Park in Wappingers for a pancake breakfast?

The Dutchess County Parks Division is holding the breakfast in honor of it recently being selected as the winner for 'The Best Tasting Maple Syrup in the Hudson Valley' for the syrup that they produce at Bowdin Park. The award was given during the Fresh Air Fund's 13th annual Sugar Maple Celebrating in Fishkill last week. The Dutchess County Parks Department competed against 14 other challengers to bring home the title this year.

County Executive Marc Molinaro had this to say about the event:

“What better way to celebrate the arrival of spring than with a traditional pancake breakfast at our own Bowdoin Park! Our Pancake Breakfast is fun for the entire family to enjoy. Come out and celebrate the warm weather and sample maple syrup made at one of Dutchess County’s great parks!”

So to celebrate, the DCPD is holding a pancake breakfast at Bowdin Park in the Community Center Auditorium (85 Sheafe Road). Everyone is invited to attend and will be served on a first come first served basis. The cost is $5 per person, children 6 and under are free of charge.

Bottles of the winning syrup will also be available for purchase.
