Every so often, science comes in handy. Curing illness is cool. Figuring out the mysteries of the universe is all right, I guess. But finding out that beer is good for you? Now we're talking.

Scientists discovered that xanthohumol, a type of flavonoid found in beer, seems to help cognitive function, at least in young mice.

...

The research does suggest that this flavonoid and others should be studied closer. The researchers believe it and others, like the ones found in red wine, blueberries and dark chocolate, may play a role in helping you form memories.

I wish I could say beer helped my memory, but usually it does the direct opposite. Oh well.

Hell yeah science!
