Seriously? Has anyone even heard of this place? Experts missed the mark on this one and frankly, it's embarrassing.

Other than apple orchards, have you ever wondered what people from outside of the Hudson Valley travel hundreds of miles to get to? If you think you know I'm willing to bet that your first guess would be wrong. I'm absolutely shocked myself.

I still have a lot of the Hudson Valley to explore but I can think of a dozen spots that I've been to that are better than what experts ranked the highest.

The website, Vacation Ideas posted the 25 best places to see in the Hudson Valley and places like the Trevor Zoo in Millbrook, Catamount Aerial Adventure Park and the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome were all far down the list.

According to the site, the best tourist spot in the Hudson Valley is the The Thomas Cole National Historic Site. If you've never heard of this place then your not alone. Thomas Cole does hold significance in the art community.Apparently, he is responsible for a new style of American painting, he founded the Hudson River School of Art and some of his paintings of the Catskills can even be found all around world.

I'm not saying this is a lame choice and I certainly don't want to take away from Cole's accomplishments but is it really worthy of being in the top position?

What about Bannerman Island? What about the Saugerties Lighthouse? How about Orange County Choppers? At least they have booze.

I don't think the list is an accurate depiction of all of the great things the Hudson Valley has to offer. What else should be on there?
