New York State made waves earlier this year by announcing that many of its students will be eligible for free college from SUNY schools. Now, it seems like that might come at a slight cost to those who aren't eligible.
I remember going to school every day and never getting enough sleep. I would wake up groggy in the morning, and I'd end up sleeping on the bus, during lunch, even during my classes. (Not the important classes, though. Just stuff like math and science.)
How do you maintain a work life balance as an adult? Is it something that's actually important or should we just toughen up and be grateful we even have a job? Should kids have to worry about being over worked at school? Or is it something kids should just get used to?
As though the stress of the SATs wasn't bad enough one time, a whole load of high school students will be going through it all over again--through no fault of their own.
