The Broom Challenge is the Dumbest Thing on the Internet

The newest viral challenge involves a broom and no cleaning. It may be the dumbest trend to hit the web but of course I jumped on that band wagon. I had to see if this was real. I couldn't help myself.

If you've been scrolling through your social media feeds you've probably noticed a broom standing all by itself on its bristles. This is because of a new viral trend called the broom challenge.

The rumor behind the challenge is that because of the gravitational pull on earth's axis this time of the week the broom could stand up all by itself. Sounds legitimate, right? Is it real or is it a hoax?

According to CBS News, NASA chimed in and said there is no truth to the challenge.

Maybe we should just use the brooms instead of taking pictures of them.
