Police Departments Now Extending Unique Valentine’s Day Invites

Love is in the air, or maybe not so much...

Seems Like The Police Have Jokes This Year For Valentine's Day

Who ever said that our law enforcement officers don't know how to let loose and have a little fun? In honor of this year's day of love, several agencies across New York State and beyond are encouraging ex-lovebirds to make sure their former special someone feels special for the holiday...

This trend has been sweeping social media in the days leading up to Valentine's Day 2026, with some departments offering the FULL PACKAGE treatment of special photos, an intimate 1:1 setting for getting to know one another, and some of the best police-puns we've seen.

Some out of state fan favorites can be found below:

• In Franklin MA, Police want to know if you are craving revenge that’s ethical, moral, and legal?
• Morgan County Police in Alabama wants to know if there's love in the air in the form of a warrant.
• Ann Arundel County Maryland got creative with a little haiku:                           ROSES ARE RED,
  VIOLETS ARE BLUE,
  IF THEY’VE GOT A WARRANT…
  SHERIFF SESKER HAS US LOOKING FOR THEM TOO.
• Finally, the Pelham Police Department in RI is taking the monopoly theme where your special ex-valentine can go STRAIGHT to jail, do not pass go, and certainly do not collect $200...

Meanwhile, back in the Hudson Valley, the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office did things a bit differently, instead of focusing on your past Valentine, they'd like to make sure that your current one sticks around.
