Of all things to be controversial in New York City, ferrets seem pretty low on the list. Nonetheless, there has been a ban on owning them as pets for the past fifteen years. And some people aren't happy about it.

Well, in his first year in office, Mayor De Blasio has decided to make it a point to legalize ferrets as pets and is pursuing the changing of the law, enacted by Mayor Giuliani, banning them.
