Remarkable Monday in the Hudson Valley with Superstar Performance

Usually, Mondays are quiet. The weekend is over, restaurants are closed, and most people are just struggling to make it to bedtime. Not this week.

This week, Monday was the early highlight, with Newburgh Brewing Company specifically opening their doors to host what turned out to be one of the best free shows (from one of the biggest superstars) that the Hudson Valley has ever seen.

Are we being hyperbolic? Maybe a little, but that doesn't change the fact that diamond-certified recording artists AWOLNATION played the taproom for an epic WRRV Sessions on a Monday afternoon... and that was just the beginning.

Free Music AND Free Beer at WRRV Sessions

WRRV first went on the air in April 1995, and 30 years later, the station is still going strong. To celebrate the milestone birthday (as well as 10 years of WRRV Sessions), a beer collaboration was created for the special occasion (below).

Celebrating 10 Years of WRRV Sessions at Newburgh Brewing Company

WRRV Sessions are free shows hosted at Newburgh Brewing Company, and the one-off WRRV Sessions Boss beer included dates of every WRRV Sessions, starting with New Politics on March 12th, 2015 and ending with the most recent appearance of AWOLNATION on April 14th, 2025.

Diamond-Certified Recording Artists AWOLNATION Play WRRV Sessions

AWOLNATION, whose single Sail is one of the most successful songs in alternative radio history, played an acoustic set that also included favorites like Kill Your Heroes, Panoramic View, and their latest single, Barbarian.

New Music and New Tour for AWOLNATION

AWOLNATION are currently on a nationwide tour supporting their album The Phantom Five. US dates wrap up in Los Angeles in May before the band heads to Europe for gigs in Romania, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
