The Backstreet Boys are back. Yes, this is not something that you might expect to here WRRV talk about. But the documentary they are a part of is.

Fans will be seeing a different, much darker side of the Backstreet Boys in their new documentary called "Show Em What You're Made Of."  It tackles the roughest moments from the group's 20 years together, even their legal battle with creator Lou Pearlman.  Early reviews of the "Show Em What You're Made Of" are overall positive.

The "Defamer" praises it for asking "uncomfortable questions about fame and the rapidly evolving pop machine," describing it as "unlike the glitzy performance-driven PR projects" from the band's past.

"The Guardian" points out that the members' willingness to open up about their less-than-glamorous personal history makes the documentary "a reminder that musical groups consist of people" and that "at some point, they grow up."

The documentary will be showing in select theaters around the country and will also be available via video-on-demand starting today (1/30/2015).
