PHOTOS: Bad Suns Kick Off WRRV Sessions for 2025

WRRV Sessions kicked off the 2025 season in style with a very special performance from first-time Sessions guests, Bad Suns.

Christo and Gavin from Bad Suns generously used their day off on their current nationwide tour with Finneas to stop by the Hudson Valley to play for a packed house at Newburgh Brewing Company.

Bad Suns Play WRRV Sessions

WRRV Sessions are free shows hosted in the taproom that celebrate both established and up-and-coming alternative acts from across the world. Bad Suns, who have had their songs played on WRRV since their 2014 single Cardiac Arrest (below), closed the show with their latest release, Communicating.

Fans of Bad Suns traveled not only from across the Hudson Valley, but from across the entire tristate region to catch the show before the band headed up to Boston (with two more shows down in Brooklyn this weekend).

Bad Weather and Great Music for WRRV Sessions

An unexpected snowstorm wasn't enough to stop Newburgh Brewing Company from filling up before the show started, and fans of the band hung out after the show for an opportunity to meet Cristo and Gavin (below).

WRRV Turns 30 in 2025

2025 is a special year for WRRV, as the month of April will mark the 30th birthday of the station. That means that in the coming months, more and more special guests for WRRV Sessions will be announced to celebrate the huge milestone.
