It may sound completely odd--and it is--but that completely odd ingredient makes this delicious beer completely unique.

Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company is a brewery we've featured several times in the past, and by popular demand, we bring you this incredibly original take on a sweet stout, Jefferson Stout. Yes, brewed with sweet potatoes.

The brewery is from Mississippi, you know they've gotta add some Southern style to their lineup.

Now, don't get scared off; there won't be orange chunks floating in your beer. They were used to add another dimension of flavor to this delicious stout. In fact, this is a great beer to enjoy this time of year because, while it's a stout, it's not as heavy as some others. This makes it a great beer to transition from your lagers and pale ales into darker territory. Plus, it's almost Thanksgiving, so you know you've gotta start getting excited for some sweet potatoes and sweet potato pie.

The best part, as always, is that it's half price at Half Time, Route 9 in Poughkeepsie. So grab that growler and head on over to enjoy this Southern delicacy.
