Did he go too far? Or did this guy have it coming?

Obviously cyberbullying is something that's become more and more common--or at least more and more acknowledged (cyberbullying has been going on since the moment a keyboard was placed in front of a human being). But what people can't seem to figure out is how to solve it or prevent it.

Former UFC and Bellator fighter Josh Neer seems to think he's found the solution.

Apparently, Neer has been receiving threatening, mocking, and intimidating messages on Facebook from a mixed martial arts student who thinks that because he's bigger than Neer (over 6'3" to Neer's 5'5" and apparently 70-80lbs heavier), he can terrorize him without reprecussion.

Well they met at the gym. Things didn't go so well for the bully, as this video shows (some NSFW language in the Facebook screenshots in the video):

Now the question is, did Neer go too far? Is this the wrong approach? The other fighter, Patrick Martin, was literally asking for it in those messages.
