HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley has been awarded just over $88 million from the State of New York. HealthAlliance was awarded the monies through a competitive process that allowed them to garner the second highest awarded amount, with the funds to be used to pay for upgrades.

According to a press release, the funds will be used to transform the St Mary's Avenue Campus in Kingston into a single state of the art hospital and the re-tool the Broadway Campus into a "medical village."

The next steps in the process of making these changes into reality include the Kingston Planning Board approving the plans along with the State Department of Health assessing that there is indeed a need for the project.

Once the project has been approved and permits issued, the renovations and upgrades are expected to take approximately two years to complete.
