I was honestly at a loss for words. I had no clue why she was doing this with her tongue. Does anyone?

I don't know about you but my family always had cats in the house while I was growing up and almost every girl I've dated has had multiple cats as well. I wouldn't say that I'm a cat person or that I prefer them more dogs but I would definitely say that I'm more comfortable with felines by this point. I just can't escape them.

Some of the cats I've been around were nicer than others and I'd consider most of them "normal" and being normal is tough for a cat so that's impressive. That being said, I've been around some odd ones in my time. However, nothing could prepare for the behavior I have been witnessing from my enormous cat.

She just sits around with her tongue out all of the time. I've never seen a cat do this before. I had no idea why so I had to look into this. According to The Happy Cat Site, when a cat stares blankly and sticks it's tongue out it's called the Flehman Response. It means that the cat has picked up some strange scent and is extremely curious.

I may have to finally talk to my downstairs neighbor about that skunk he's been keeping in his apartment.
