Marist College has announced that it will be now offering courses exclusively online for the remainder of the spring semester.

Many elementary and high schools have shut their doors for several weeks. Many local SUNY and CUNY universities have also shut their doors to their classrooms and are allowing students to learn from a safe distance in avoid the risk of COVID-19 virus.

According to an email from President Dennis J. Murray, the university has moved it's classes online for the after taking the advice of New York State healthcare professionals and have decided and government officials. Marist's spring break  has been extended for another week and the classes will continue online on March 30.

This decision comes just a few days after a student tested positive for corona virus.
