I've been back in the Hudson Valley for almost 10 months now after living in New England for the past 7 years.  For everything that stayed EXACTLY the same as when I left, there are at least 2 brand new things in the area to check out.  I'm going into 2019 with a giant list of resolutions (as usual), but a lot of them are actually based around Hudson Valley happenings, and seem much more attainable than the others on the list.

In no particular order, here's some of my local goals for the new year:

  • Check out local landmarks that I've never visited (or haven't visited in many years).  There are so many cool historic sites, parks, etc. to see - why not take advantage of what's right here in our backyard? (like this place)
  • Try NEW local restaurants - why do we always default to our local favorites when there are awesome home-grown places and award winning spots that probably have incredible food and drinks? (like these)
  • Visit more of the local entertainment options - look at the number of places to see a live band up close and personal, full blown concert, or comedy show right in the area. It's time to see a local artist or band i've never heard of, or wouldn't typically check out... you never know what you'll get. (like this new venue)

That's just part of my list for 2019, anything unique on yours?
