The job market is a hot topic, now especially, and when it comes to 'attractiveness' in terms of employment state by state, WalletHub took the time to deep dive into the factors that comprise job-market strength and economic health. Comparison across all 50 states looked at vital factors that demonstrate the best vs. worst states to find a job.

Employment growth, job opportunities, salaries/income, unemployment rates, stress, commute time and work hours were some of the primary areas for analysis. While our neighboring states of Massachusetts and Connecticut ranked top two, respectively, unfortunately New York did not fare as well.

New York Ranks 29th Out Of 50

Likely not a surprise, especially when considering the key indicators of the research, New York State did not rate, or rank as well as other nearby states. New York came in at number 29, with a total point score of 51.04, a 32nd for job market rank, and an economic environment rank of 28.
