Phantogram Wows Hudson Valley at Final 2024 WRRV Sessions

It was another night for the record books at Newburgh Brewing Company on Thursday as we wrapped up an incredible year of WRRV sessions performances with a one-of-a-kind night with Phantogram.

It has been a stellar year of unforgettable performances from familiar faces and new ones, all thanks to our friends at Healy Brothers, Ballentine Communications, Devitt's Nursery & Supply in New Windsor, and our incredibly generous hosts, Newburgh Brewing Company.

Phantogram at WRRV Sessions

This was not their first time performing at Newburgh Brewing Company for WRRV Sessions, Val chatted with Sarah and Josh (aka Phantogram) about their last visit during 2019, and what life has looked like in the wild years that followed (learning new instruments and trying new baked goods recipes, just like the rest of us).

Since their last visit, Phantogram have spent some time on the road, touring with some major names like Queens of the Stone Age, and most recently, Kings of Leon, sharing stories about what life is like touring with diverse bands.

Phantogram just released their latest album, Memory Of A Day, back in October, and are preparing for a headlining tour in support of the album which is set to kick off in January in Vegas (road trip, anyone?).

Somewhat Of A Hudson Valley Homecoming

Sarah and Josh, who have known each other since preschool, but formally performing as Phantogram since 2007, are actually from an area of New York not far from the Hudson Valley. Hailing from Greenwich, New York, in the Saratoga Springs area, the Hudson Valley is not so far from home.

Phantogram gave us a quite literal electric set, entertaining the crowd with their unique spacey sounds, and filling the taproom with incredible music for the final WRRV sessions performance of the year.
