The Ramona Flowers Bring Entire ‘Made By Humans’ Album to WRRV Sessions

The weather couldn't stop us from another incredible night in the taproom at Newburgh Brewing Company with one of our favorite returning bands, The Ramona Flowers, for what will go down as a pretty unforgettable Sessions show.

Imagine pulling up to the brewery on a cold Tuesday afternoon to find a tour bus parked outside, and a full stage setup on the Newburgh Brewing WRRV Sessions stage with more audio equipment than you can imagine.

Ramona Flowers Make Third WRRV Sessions Appearance

We jokingly say that if a band comes back to WRRV Sessions for a second or third time, that they must really, REALLY, like us...and we mean it. I'm fairly certain that after two times you are no longer acquaintances, not friends, but more like family.

The Ramona Flowers rolled into Newburgh in the middle of their North American tour, on an off day before heading to Boston, and then to a show at The Mercury Lounge in NYC, and decided to give the WRRV Sessions stage a little something extra.

They're playing a full set, bringing their full stage gear, and coming in the tour bus...

That's all I needed to hear - I knew we were in for a spectacular night, and I was right.

The Ramona Flowers Play Entire 'Made By Humans' Album in Newburgh

It isn't every day that we get a band to play their entire album at WRRV Sessions, in fact i'm 99.999% sure that The Ramona Flowers were the first to ever bring that kind of exclusive performance to the stage.

After sitting down with Steve and Sam from the band to talk about the intention behind the album's name, the raw emotion behind a number of the songs, and of course the success of 'Up All Night,' the band took the stage to give us a full set of track after track from their latest record 'Made By Humans.'

After the performance, I jokingly asked if they wanted to be the first band to come back for a fourth appearance, and they were quick to agree, tossing around some ideas for another show later in the year...i'm confident that if the logistics work out, our mates from the UK wouldn't blink at the opportunity to return to the Hudson Valley, talk soccer, and bring another amazing show to the Newburgh Sessions stage.
